Snitchers!

There is a possibility the archives have been fixed! I tried adding a favourite story and it worked for me. It never worked before. Hopefully, it will work now. Play around with it and let me know.

Thanks to all the people who have donated so far. Here is a list:

After fees were taken out, $160 was paid to Slashcity and the domain name was renewed, we still have $722.95.

At $40 a month for the fees and $32.85 a year for the domain names (we still have too and three even though we're not using them at the moment), that should cover us for almost a year and a half.

I'd say we're doing damn good.

Now, if I could just find the email address of the person who created the splash page image, I could get that fixed as well. Lol.

Ok. The search function isn't working...

I'll look into it. In the meantime, you can go to the specific category you want to look in and use the drop down menus there to perform a sort of search. Those still work.

Ok, this is me signing off now. Hope this is working, at least enough that it's not as frustrating. Hopefully people will be able to post reviews, review responses and register as well.

Let me know, as always, you can email me here.

Hello Snitchers!

The Silver Snitch has been a little rundown lately. We're fixing it up. I have help from two lovely people so far and we've gotten enough donations to keep us alive for another month.

Actually, if it weren't for the two people who donated, drattie@comcast.net and murgy31@yahoo.com, we wouldn't have had enough to cover our back 'rent'. This is partially my fault, but, well...

So, now I ask this of you, fellow Snitchers.

We need donations to keep this puppy up and running. The domain name has been paid for for one more year. We have enough to pay for the archive for October. But we badly need donations to live past then. All we need is a total of $40 a month, after donation fees.

I know The Snitch has glitches and problems. We're working on getting them fixed. But we can't fix the archives if there aren't archives to fix. We need time and money. We have the time, but it's up to all of you to get us the money. Even a few dollars here and there. I'm not asking any one person to donate the total fee every month. With the amount of readers and members if people just donated a few dollars a month we would have more than enough.

I understand that not everyone has the money to donate every month, or at all. Hell, I get it! I can't even donate most of the time! And I own the damn thing! Everyone has bills and other things they need to take care of. But we have thousands of members and just as many readers, if not more.

So, help The Snitch! We're here for your reading pleasure as long as we can stay alive!

Hi everyone! Welcome to The Silver Snitch II: Severus Snape/Harry Potter Archive! Here are a few basic things you need to know about the new TSS:

1. You can go from one archive to another by clicking on the 'Sister Archives' link in the menu.

2. You MUST register on each site that you want to upload a fic to or become a member of.

3. If you have registered on this or one of the other two TSS sites, but do not receive a password, please e-mail us (there are links at the bottom of each page with a link to click on to e-mail us) with the site you registered on (TSS I, TSS II, TSS III), as well as the ID and e-mail address you used to register. We will set you up with a temporary password so you can get into your account.

4. Please follow the rules of submission. We now divide the fics on each site into one-shots and multi-chaptered fics.

Thanks so much to everyone who has donated to TSS. Below you will see our Snitch-O-Meter which will show you what we have in our account this far. If you want to help, the donate button is just below it. We appreciate your continued support!

Seven years after the Second Wizarding War, Severus Snape is found alive. Only a handful of people believe his innocence. Disoriented and damaged, after seven years of torture at the hands of Death Eaters, Seveurs Snape finds refuge in Harry Potter's home. Can Severus' life be fixed when the post-war Wizarding World is falling apart? Disclaimer: I do not own anything HP related. It all belongs to JK Rowling, Bloomsbury Books, Scholastic Inc., Warner Bros., and any other entities involved.  More info...

Well, it's a pretty common plot, but I will try to make it original-er later on.....Harry is abused by the Dursleys. Severus rescues him. Can Harry learn to love himself again, or has what the Dursleys done had a permanent effect?THIS STORY IS AS IF HBP NEVER HAPPENED!! More info...

There's no way for me to fix the search or category filter options. I've attempted to play around with the advanced search, and nothing I did worked. Although, I did get the characters to show as an option. I just can't get it to actually do what it's supposed to.

I've been told that the new version of the program, which should be worked out shortly, won't have these problems. I plan to do an upgrade as soon as I know the major bugs are worked out and see how it goes. It may be a little while, like a few days or a few weeks. I doubt that long, though.

I know I keep telling you guys to have patience, but this isn't something I can fix right away. I promise I'll go check out the eFiction site to see when it's safe to download the new version (meaning the bugs have been worked out by other people who have downloaded and used it). In fact, I'll go check now. I don't know when it will be done, but I'll be sure to let you all know.

Thanks for being patient, guys. I pretty much got everythting else fixed. If you find anything else that either a) hasn't been fixed or b) is a new problem I don't know about, feel free to email me and let me know. You can use either the admin email or the deirdra one. I get both every time Outlook checks for new mail.

Thanks again.

I've added the Most Recent link to the menu. I was bored and decided to look into it. So, there you go.
